When Verner Panton created New Wave in 1984, Holmegaard may not have been ready for his imaginative solutions, and Panton may have been ahead of his time. At any rate, New Wave ended up in Holmegaard's basement, where it was recently discovered and dusted off and is now more up to date than ever. Base and shade merge into one other in an organic shape with an undulating surface that casts a breathtaking light and makes a sculptural contribution to the interior design.
The late Verner Panton was a guiding light at the center of modern Danish design during its golden era. His design philosophy never saw limitations, only possibilities.
This pendant light is designed to take a halogen capsule light bulb, which is not included.
