childrens lights - information about the regulations affecting children's lights
The IEC regulation, EN60598-2-10: Portable Luminaires for Children, applies to lights that can be physically moved while still connected to the mains (therefore excluding fixed ceiling and wall lights).
Under these regulations, the maximum temperature of accessible parts, including the bulb if accessible, is 60 °C for metal parts and 75 °C for other parts, measured during normal operation.
